Quapaw, Oklahoma Wall Paintings

In 1992 the colors were really bright and crisp...

these are pictures of the front mural in progressive states
after 15 years the front painting is showing signs of age
and here you can see what 21 years of sun light has done to the pigments on the East wall (front painting/far right)
in 1992 the North wall was much brighter as well/ this was shot before I painted the group of miners below

I saw these paintings for the first time in 4 years last week and it brought back a flood of memories... I spent a couple months on and off painting these walls. I love to paint.

ABSOLUT OBSESSION

I did the first one with ink and markers on graph paper put together with clear tape Then I painted a larger version on canvas and played with variations on that theme.

A Twist on the Hour Glass...the Second Glass

It only takes a second for the sand to drop...I mean who has time these days to wait a whole hour? See my point?

I've actually made seven of these and they have all sold very well...sadly these are the only two I have photos for... One is made of aluminum and steel and the other is walnut.
I plan to make a few more using different materials, like various woods/like oak and cherry, as well as various plastics and metals.

Still Life Wrapped in Aluminum Foil

I painted this with charcoal, pencils, acrylics and Sharpie pens, then gave it to Jordyn for her birthday. She loved it. Zachary fixed the frame for me.
